Oh! How could I forget Being There? DEFINITELY on my top ten. Also the Fisher King and Eternal Sunshine are super great. I haven't even seen Auntie Mame, Diva, Felicia's Journey, or Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things (is that a really bad B horror movie I hope?) Thanks!! Adding them to my list.

[laughing] Yes, CSPwDT is possible a C horror movie, not even good enough for B horror. It's not that it's a good movie -- don't add it to any "to watch" list! -- it's just a fun joke between me and my mom.

Rosalind Russell rocks my world, and she is a fabulous FABULOUS Auntie Mame; Lucille Ball can't hold a candle to her.

Diva is a french film with subtitles, loosely based on the Delacorta book by the same name. You know the series? Diva, Lola, Nana, Luna, Vida. I think I have them all. Simple and charming. As is the movie.

Felicia's Journey is... twisted, and it reminds me just how masterful a character actor Bob Hoskins is, and how much i like Atom Egoyan's storytelling style. He's really a master.

I was thinking, too, as I was remembering movies I've really liked, they often fall into director categories like that. Wim Wenders, Terry Gilliam, etc.
