Article on living in the Netherlands

I've seen this posted around a lot lately; I'm saving it here for myself. I can totally imagine living in the Netherlands someday, especially because my grandparents were from there and I identify with my Dutch heritage more than the other bits of me. :)

But, we'd probably still move to Southern Europe, if we did... Spain or the South of France or Italy or Greece... Euro road trips KICK ASS, though, so we could totally visit ya'll ALL THE TIME! (Except winter ;D)
[I also have a powerful urge to move to either Costa Rica or Buenos Aires, so we could fantasize about those places, too... DAMN I NEED TO LEARN SPANISH!)
PS: sorry to "internet yell" so much in my replies, I was too lazy to bold.

I loved my visit to Amsterdam and Delft, and could totally imagine moving there. I stayed just past the red light district but the place was pretty nice, and the canals in that part of town are so gorgeous. And yes, I found that people were approachable and it felt like a friendly place. I loved Italy also, but can't imagine spending much time in France. I mean, it's great to visit but I don't feel at home there.
I have some friends who moved to Costa Rica for several years, and just moved back last year. Amazing! I wish I felt free enough (and solvent enough) to consider such a plan.
