Well, John did die that night. I wrote a tribute to him in my other LJ. I think most of my FL here is on my FL there too, but just in case, here's a link to that post:

We had a maid service in this morning. Greenway Maids--they use only eco-groovy products. I would rather have a leukemia-free kid than white grout, thanks! Does anyone else think it's weird that "regular" cancer-causing VOC-loaded cleaning products are still sold on supermarket shelves? Anyway, I weird out on using maid services for a lot of reasons, and this is only the second time I've ever done it in my life, but it sure is nice to have the whole house clean all at once.
