Bad Timing
Mar. 25th, 2007 07:31 pmOK, I have to remember this.
It is absolutely STUPID and POINTLESS for me to attempt to work during the day. First thing in the morning I can whip out a task or two, but I'm basically sleepwalking after that until the sun goes down. Or at least until 6:30 or 7pm.
Some of my jobs are things I have to do during the day, but they mostly involve meetings and short, varied tasks, so that works out OK most of the time. (Plus, I have an hourly rate for the consulting stuff.) But for long sessions of computer work, nighttime is the right time, baby.
I just spent two days TRYING to work, fighting off sleep, and I got very little done. Which means that it cost me more to bring the babysitter down here with me than what I earned over the weekend. Not good. I shouldn't do things this way again.
