Synchronicity

OK, my friends list isn't even very big and I keep bumping up against coincidence at every turn. Someone will post that their kid just did something that Blue also just started doing, or someone will post something that's really similar to something I've been planning to write about, or someone will post a video that mirrors a scary dream I had last night (that one just happened! Hi K!) I swear, half the time I don't post what I was planning to post because I read my friends page first and I don't want my friends to think I'm crazy or stalkerish for posting the exact same thing they just posted. But it's a good thing, I think. I am reminded by LJ of how much we all have in common. We are all just going about our lives in these parallel ways, and I would not be so aware of our synchronicity without LJ. Imagining us all muddling through our individual lives, parallel in time and space and often in experience, makes me feel more compassionate toward humans in general. We really are all in this together.
