IE woes

I updated to the newest version of Internet Explorer and it doesn't work very well. It hangs when I try to open an LJ post in a new tab, and it gives me this weird double window when I post a comment. In that weird window I can't tell if I've written the same word twice because it overlaps the comment I started typing after a certain point, and then it doesn't wrap in the box so I can't see the whole comment as I type it. SUPER ANNOYING. I use Firefox for almost everything but I like to use IE for Blue's LJ and for my work email so that I don't have to keep logging in and out of LJ and gmail. I guess I could try Opera and skip IE altogether... anybody else using Opera or Chrome for LJ? Is it working OK?

I have a bunch of short entries in me today, but I really should be cleaning house in case my friend from Oregon visits.
