I found this article interesting. I certainly see a lot of what could be called Liberal Bullying in LJ communities. It's sometimes referred to as the LJ hivemind. It's what happens when someone expresses an idea that runs contrary to the generally accepted (and often radical) position of most community members... the dissenter is immediately, harshly, sarcastically mocked. There is typically no room for rational discourse or difference of opinion after that point. I find this incredibly frustrating. It's just as bad as being shut down from the other side, and no one learns anything.
