Four migraines in four days. Or, more likely, one migraine for four days, interrupted by medication but returning nightly.

Also, there are painful bumps on the back of both of my heels, making it hard to flex my ankles enough to walk. I am walking rather stiff-legged, and stairs are painful. I googled it last night and came up with achilles tendinitis or bursitis. I didn't have an acute injury, but it might be from the position of my legs and the prolonged ankle extending while holding Blue on my lap as he slept on the plane. It's the only thing I can think of, anyway.

I'm working in Santa Cruz over the weekend, having just returned from Idaho on Friday night. It took us all day to get out here yesterday but I managed to get a fair amount of work in because Blue didn't wake up until almost 2am. Evan is down here with me, of course, and right now he and Blue are in search of a park to play in. It is lovely and sunny.

I need a Red Bull. *yawn*

Red Bull. Heh.

Have you ever gone w/o caffeine for long stretches of time? Or is that what you've *been* doing?

Well, I was raised in a caffeine-prohibitive environment, and I still think of it and treat it like a drug. That means I use it when I need it, but I do not habitually use it. I needed a Red Bull yesterday because working was more important than napping. Red Bull or coffee is something I tend to drink ONLY when I'm working long hours on little sleep. And I haven't yet noticed a correlation between caffeine use and headaches, if that's what you're thinking. It seems like I would be able to tell pretty easily if there was a cause-and-effect relationship there because of my usage patterns.

Boy, I sure can talk!

Red bull?

*arched eyebrow*

Red Bull? er, you either left behind/never bought into your SDA schooling, or they have REALLY changed in the 25+ years since I graduated from MBA. Either case is good, IMO-- and I hope you aren't having migraines.

Hi, I'm Edie, I graduated from MBA in '78, and have made a successful recovery, I think. So, are there only 4 MBA attendees here on LJ, you think?

If you're ever in Yosemite, look me up!

Hi Edie! No, I'm betting there are more than 4, but not everyone admitted it. One of the other 3 is a friend of mine, and I'm trying to figure out who that 4th guy is. I graduated in '84, so I just missed you, really.

Anyway, I guess I didn't buy into the WHOLE thing, unless I somehow just didn't hear the don't-pierce-your-nose part.

I'm actually pretty comfortable with the core SDA doctrines, though, and never really hated the church although I've stayed a comfortable distance away for long periods of time. FWIW, I have lots of friends who are on your path as well. I'm interested in everything, anyway. I heard the "judge not" part and I guess it went in.

Do you really live in Yosemite, or thereabouts? How lovely! How would I look you up? Oh, and thanks for saying hi!
