Know what else?

I love college radio stations that play hardcore in the middle of the night. I just listened to the Stanford station almost all the way home from work, and it was exactly like the UCSB station I used to listen to as a teenager. Exactly.

I love that radio stations have websites now, and you can usually look at their playlist. Yes, there was a certain romance to hanging out waiting for a run of songs to end and praying that the DJ would Name That Tune, but often s/he didn't, and it was so hard to find songs I'd only heard once. Now, even if there is no playlist online, I can often google a phrase and find the song. Woo hoo!

Also, I love that little screen in my dashboard, because many radio stations are now plugged in to this thing that shows what song they are currently playing. Seriously, I can press the Audio button and the little scrolling display for the station shows the song and artist! Wow! I wish it worked for all songs, all artists, and all radio stations--of course, the obscure ones don't show up. But still. For a busy music junkie like me, this is a lifesaver.
