This image of OWS as a bunch of hippie-hipsters with "bongo drums" and no real demands is really annoying. Like, has anyone been down there?!?! It is amazingly inspirational and SANE.
This. I've been avoiding saying anything because there are many people who are dismissing them and acting like these are spoiled hipsters who *don't want to work.* I teach a lot of kids like that, and they generally don't protest because Mommy and Daddy are bankrolling them while they do an unpaid internship as a stepping stone to a lucrative job.
