Pictures to go with the story

Here are my mom, my uncle and my grandmother. I guess they were in Japan or the Philippines by then. My mom is holding Betty Jane.

Then, of course, there are no pictures until after the war.
Here is my mom in 1945 with two of her cousins. She is in the middle. We have the exact same legs!

And last, here is my mom's whole family in 1946. My uncle, who had gotten super skinny during the war (they all had!), seems to have filled out by then. He was around 15 in this picture, and my mom was probably 9. I love to look at this picture. I wonder what they are waiting for.
