Peeeektures of George

This one is for ninjalie who was at my wedding. From left to right, it's Evan, me, George, and Larry. They were so funny; many people at my wedding dressed up in everything from Renaissance costume to fairy wings, and George and Larry were like "We're the Armani Guys!" What else could they possibly have worn? Larry irons his JEANS! :D





Here they are at THEIR wedding, in Vancouver, New Year's Eve 2005.

Oh Lisa...I'm so sad about George. Heavy hearted.

I look at your wedding picture and see the same George I knew from so many years ago.

But he looks so different in the other pictures...

Yeah, he does look different. He's had a lot of surgery and radiation on his face and neck, and he's really skinny again. He had a feeding tube after this last surgery but for now he's getting by on smoothies and protein powder mostly. He tries to eat 4000-5000 calories a day.

Anyway.

He is the same lovely intelligent erudite and engaging George! I will pass your message on to him.

these are great pictures. i'm sorry that it's in a sad context but i'm glad to see you posting photos of yourself!

oh also off topic, the other day i was talking to banjo and somehow blue came up in conversation, and i asked if he remembered when blue came and had a playdate and he said "blue is like me and alexander - long blond hair." it seemed almost like he saw it as part of his identity and something he shared w the other two boys, like it meant more than the hair. i may be projecting all this onto a simple observation though.

Thanks. I hate all pictures of myself--well, I can think of 3 I like, but they are all at least 20 years old! But this time it was for a good cause.

I love the hair story. I think that hair is really key to identity... hopefully we're raising good little hippies. ;-)
