For my own records--I graduated from 8th grade with this girl and then she disappeared. I always wondered what happened to her. She was really trippy; there was something wrong with her physically but it was hard to say exactly what, and she was definitely unusual socially as well, but we made friends just fine. I remember she was staying at the San Roque motel on State Street with her mom and some strange man; I went to visit and we swam in the pool. She was definitely the only girl at my tiny private school who was living in a motel. Her mom was pretty weird too, but not physically, just socially or maybe mentally. I'm astounded that Maureen managed to have four kids plus a grandkid. I hope she had a lovely life.

Wow, that must be a trip for you. It's depressing to have peers die. You should contact her kids and ask about her.

Yeah, it's weird! I don't know, she and her whole family were so strange, I'm afraid to try to contact anyone. And I really just want to know what was wrong with her. I found her dad's phone number, but I never met him--it would be kindof cool to call him, because I bet he is also very odd. But now that you mention it, her kids might be the way to go.

Also, I got your check today. Thank you! I cashed it and bought pizza to celebrate completing my last GED test today. Tomorrow I get the results. *crosses fingers that she will score high enough to get a scholarship* Wish me luck!

How exciting! I hope you did well! And I'm sorry it took me so long to send that check out. I really appreciated your help and wish I'd been around more so I could have made more work happen. Next time, eh?

Hey, weird, I was doing a google search on something about my aunt and google turned this up. I'm Maureen's daughter. It'd be kind of neat to talk to someone who knew her when she was younger. I don't even know if you still use this, but if you do please contact me @ crystalskydaisy@yahoo.com
