LJ and work

I just cut down on my communities (on both LJs) and created special lists to narrow down my reading of LJ further. I read all personal journals but some communities I don't need to read all the time.

And now suddenly I'm finding that LJ is too slow for me. People aren't updating enough! I guess it's because I'm back at work and my diversionary tactic is to check LJ every 10 minutes. So it seems realllly slow.

I am an idiot. I got my car towed today. Noah told me to park on one side of the street and I defied him, and I got towed. $287. Ergh. If I don't go get it by 8pm it's another $50. My head is definitely NOT screwed on straight today.

Big survey at one of my hospitals on Friday. I've been out of town or occupied for something like 3 weeks, during the most crucial prep time, and left Noah to fend for himself even though he's never even done this before. I don't know what I was thinking. Things look pretty good but there is lots of last-minute stuff to do. And LJ is too slow--ha! Work and I should be exclusive right now.

Twitter is fun but I'm not witty enough to use it appropriately. Also I like to have all my info in one place. Although I know you can send your twitters to LJ. vagynafondue does that very effectively. But she is the wittiest of the witty.

Hi, I've just added you - hope you don't mind! I wandered over here from tellinellen's journal (I am one of her many admirers). I am very erratic about posting in my own lj, but I have a 3-year-old son and love reading about non-mainstream parenting. Also, I was an undergrad at Berkeley and remain nostalgic about the Bay Area.

Thanks! It used to be that Blue and Banjo reminded me *so* much of each other that it was uncanny. Long before I met Ellen I was struck by how often they did things at the same time and how alike they looked in pictures. :D
