I did my taxes on like January 28th, heh. But we always get a massive return so I want to get them done. The sooner I get my money back from the government, the better.
I never get a big return. I pay estimated taxes quarterly because I'm self-employed, so the name of the game for me is to not overpay; that way I'm holding money in interest-bearing accounts until it's due rather than giving it to the government interest-free for them to give me back at the end of the year. I usually over-save for the taxes, though, which gives me a nice chunk of money in my tax savings account after I figure my taxes every year. That's the only way I can enforce savings on myself. Blah blah blah!
Yeah, it's late--I'm usually down to the wire. My taxes are super complicated and I keep thinking maybe THIS is the year I farm them out for someone else to do... then I think, oh, it's too late to farm them out, better do them now... then life gets in the way. But I'm done, so yay!
I did my friend's taxes in 20 minutes last night, though. He has no excuse. :P
