I definitely think about the roads not taken but I don't do a lot of judgment, comparison or opinionating on my friends' choices. Also, I don't understand the pressure people seem to feel around the choice not to have children, nor the judgments passed on other people for having them. Having a kid because you're somehow "supposed" to is the last thing I'd recommend, and I don't think that not having kids is pitiable in the least (except, of course, if they were dearly wanted.) And on the other side, I listened to 20 minutes of venom from a bitter drunk in line at the airport yesterday about people who have kids--especially people who travel with them--and I was ready to stab him in the heart with a ballpoint pen. Why do people pass such harsh judgments on each other?

Insightful article, It sounds like the person in the airport must've been kind of bitter its a lot easier to judge when you have a vastly different life and perspective.
