OK, I posted some pics on

neuraltube and now I need to post some over here for balance. Or something. Because I got the entire May and June sets up on flickr, yay! So here you go, a little fun.

These are from my blessingway weekend at the end of May. Many of my best friends came out from Portland and elsewhere to celebrate Zoelle's impending arrival and we had a great family weekend together. I also stole pictures from the cameras of three of my friends, which is where all of these came from.

First, totally gratuitously, I'm just sharing my friends' beauty. This is Brinn and Heather. Look at these hot mamas! Yowza!

Second, a San Francisco spot that is still kindof a secret. This is just a few blocks from my house. I live on top of a hill which is capped by a little park. The next hill to the north is about the same size and is also capped by a little park. On the west side of that park, there is a long staircase called the Moraga Street Steps; at least that's what I call it. Sometime in the past decade or so, an art project was launched and the steps were covered with tiles depicting an ocean scene at the bottom, the sun and moon at the top, and lots of gorgeousness in between. The tiles are especially beautiful in the evening when the sunset light is reflected in them from the west. Here are the steps:

See the mirror sections in the sun? Those reflect the pink and orange sunset light magnificently. I really should get out there and take pictures on a non-foggy day.
