Know what I hate?

Potato bugs.

Not the roly-poly kind or the little green kind. I'm talking about the kind also known as the "jerusalem cricket." The nasty, disgusting, huge, gigantic, mooshy, shiny, black and brown ones. They can get seriously huge, like 4 inches long, and they are the most disgusting bugs I can think of. If I never see one again it will be too soon.

I haven't seen one in years, actually. But I'm about to start trying to fix up my backyard, and if I see one I might scream.

ETA: I'm talking about these. Imagine accidentally touching a 3-inch-long one while working in your garden. EWWWWWWW!

I hate the roly poly kind! I probably would dislike the jerusalem crickets as well, but I have never seen one in person.

The roly-poly kind have infested my house. They are everywhere and it's driving me mad.

The funniest part of this is the fact that I was just ranting about how much I hate them to Dylan a whole minute before I sat down to read my friends list and saw this post. haha

Yes, but if they're poly, if roly-poly, they must have SOME redeeming characteristics. :-)

Man, my mom used to have to sleep on the futon because Allen snored SO loud and she would wake me up in the night ALL THE TIME because the potato bugs loved being in her futon. She would always make me check for them and get any that were in there. They are wayyy gross.

This has nothing to do with your post, but what is the deal with getting a headache and feeling really light headed and dizzy...is that normal? I don't think I've ever had that before except when I would throw up. It happened today and I'm like hmmm...I would love to say it's just pregnancy, but I'm not far enough along to have the baby sucking all my blood yet. You know?

Oh oh oh OHHHHHH I just took my feet off the floor reading that. I am perched on my office chair like a little bird. That is SO DISGUSTING. I'm glad you share my horror--I have had a fear of those nasty things since I was small and I needed to get it off my chest.

Hm, sounds like you could be anemic actually. You can get anemic really early in your pregnancy. And yes, your blood volume does start to increase pretty early too. When is your next appointment? You'll need a lab test. In the meantime, be careful about standing up too quickly, and definitely make sure you're eating enough iron-rich foods. Take care hon.
