twirlgrrlAlso, I haven't written anything of any substance on this journal in a long time. I think about writing here all the time, but I never have (or make) the time to get deeply contemplative, dig it all out and lay it down here. I love to write, I really do, and also I *need* to write. Just the amount of time I spend composing paragraphs in my head tells me that.
I don't mean to imply that I need to write for an audience or in a serious, literary sense. I mean that I need to journal. I've got stacks and stacks of old journals that I don't expect that anyone else will ever read, so it's not about writing for others, and I've never had a real jones to write fiction. I just like to put things in writing, to chronicle what has happened as the moments and events slip away. The older I get the less I remember, and I've always been big on trying to hold onto memories.
