Also, I haven't written anything of any substance on this journal in a long time. I think about writing here all the time, but I never have (or make) the time to get deeply contemplative, dig it all out and lay it down here. I love to write, I really do, and also I *need* to write. Just the amount of time I spend composing paragraphs in my head tells me that.

I don't mean to imply that I need to write for an audience or in a serious, literary sense. I mean that I need to journal. I've got stacks and stacks of old journals that I don't expect that anyone else will ever read, so it's not about writing for others, and I've never had a real jones to write fiction. I just like to put things in writing, to chronicle what has happened as the moments and events slip away. The older I get the less I remember, and I've always been big on trying to hold onto memories.

God, I know the feeling. I'm barely getting my NaBloPoMo blogs out. One sentence sometimes and they are nothing of substance. I don't know what it is and now find that you are experiencing the exact same thing.

I did, sorry I didn't call you back, have been running here and there...anyways, it was too late...the friend in question is back to square one again. I'll chat you up for next time though, if she is lucky enough to have one. I have been keeping my fingers and toes crossed for her for years.
