Ouch

Another migraine!

I woke up early yesterday morning, and after contemplating my navel (and Blue's navel) for a couple of hours, I texted a few friends to see if anyone was up for a get-together... then was promptly struck down by a migraine that sent me back to bed until 1pm. Evan was in bed sick too, so Blue mostly entertained himself in his room, where I slept on and off as he chattered away with his cars and books at the foot of the bed. We never did make it out of the house yesterday.

Today I woke up feeling pretty good but then was struck again with a sudden headache. Luckily Evan was up to taking Blue for a stretch; they're out at the playground now, I assume. I'm a bit better but feeling awfully weak and lightheaded. It's strange; this cold was never very bad, but it seems to have sapped all my energy on the back end. Maybe it's all the coughing.

Yikes! What the heck do you do when you're alone with Blue and that happens?

I tough it out. By which I mean, I deadbolt the front door, turn on the TV and camp out on the couch. Blue is pretty good at playing independently for decent stretches of time, and he usually stays in my vicinity, like a cat. :-)
