Flaky Flix are back! I didn't even notice they were gone until a short while ago--they're not something I buy every day, y'know? But they're a part of my childhood and I am a nostalgia whore, so when I finally did notice they were gone (after they'd stopped being made for about a year) I was sad. Then I found some internet chatter about the big re-release, and I went to Food Max and there they were! The packaging is different and the cookies themselves are smaller and slightly less dense, but they're still good.

Here's my running list of long-lost junk food:
+ Hershey's chocolate fudge in a can (not the kind in a glass bottle and not the thin syrup kind in a can, the one with the yellow lid)
+ Wacky Wafers (SOB!)
+ Lime, grape and watermelon Runts (this is a new one--they just replaced grape & watermelon with pineapple and mango)
+ Cherry chip cake mix (I found some recently but I think it was a short-lived renaissance)

I feel like there's more but I can't remember now.

Thank you my dear. They only have the thin syrup in a can, and the thick hot fudge in a jar (which is close but not the same.) They are not making the stuff I want anymore. Boo hoo!!!

I know, I wish I'd been filtering and tagging from the beginning, but I started this LJ just to vent at a very stressful time and I wasn't very organized about it. The other LJ, the one I first wrote to you from, is my son's baby book and I started it when I was pregnant with him. You will find zero mention of any stress with Daddy on that one.

the only one on this list that i knew existed was the hershey's, and i don't think i've ever had it just seen it at the store! (and i didn't know it was gone)
