dodd is the only one who wants to give back the freedoms that have been taken away by the bush administration. he's also the only one challenging giving the phone companies immunity for handing over confidential information, and the democrats are actively working against him on that.

i think that most democrats are being blackmailed or otherwise strongarmed by the administration. that's the only answer as to what is going on.
