I don't get it. Apparently some folks are up in arms that Oprah has decided not to interview Sarah Palin. What I don't get is this quote:

"Women in Florida helped build Oprah into the icon she is today," Linda Ivell, President of the FFRW said in a statement. "We are deeply disappointed in Ms. Winfrey's decision to sit out the greatest political moment in the history of women since suffrage."

How is this the greatest political moment in the history of women since suffrage? Palin isn't the first female VP candidate. They do remember Geraldine Ferraro, don't they?

I kinda like her stance. No body on the show, so I'm not playing politics, or being played, but I personally will turn up to events.

Palin sure is revealing some interesting... ehm.. dynamics...

Palin scares me even more than McCain does honestly. McCain seems like he is more conservative because of his political views and intellectual ideology whereas Palin seems conservative because of her religious views which IMO defy logical reasoning and therfore make her less likely to be able to change her mind given new, scientific information.

I was just disappointed to find that the recent story about Palin banning books is bogus (http://www.snopes.com/politics/palin/bannedbooks.asp) but I think it's telling that many people believe that it could very well be true.

I'm sure it probably had something to do with Sarah. Operah usually doesn't put people on the show that would make it very negative and since we all know she's an Obama supporter she wouldn't want to give Sarah the boost or publicity of having her on the show.

I don't get why people care who Oprah has on her show. Does anyone care if Dr. Phil has the candidates on? Or Montel (is that even still on?)?

Yes, Oprah is OPRAH - but it's still just a talk show, right? Not a political forum that anyone's being banned from...

Have I mentioned how much I hate politics? And stupidity? And the politics/stupidity cocktail?
