OK, I can write a little bit about ADHD I guess.
One thing about living with a person with ADHD: Quite often I'll open the toaster oven to find a forgotten piece of toast or leftover chicken wings. And when I open the microwave I'll see a long-cold bowl of soup or a dried-out burrito. Usually in the morning I wake to find food left out on the counter instead of covered or refrigerated. The amount of food I have had to throw away lately is staggering.
There. That's one thing. I have to start small or I'll get overwhelmed.

Date: 2008-09-10 07:29 pm (UTC)Our toaster oven beeps incessantly until you open it, that's another plus.
Machinery that helps me with my forgetfullnes, FTW! (Also routines. I usually don't lose things anymore b/c they live somewhere, and I put them back. Although I have lost my camera today and I am irked. WHERE CAN IT BE????)
(PS: the worst thing to leave out, and I have done this, as has my mom/ pretty much everybody in my family, is mayonnaise. GROSS!!!!! Slimy warm mayonnaise is absolutely disgusting. Just from a yuck POV, I mean.)
Sorry you have to live with such forgetfulness. It is a bane in M's life as well...
