I know I'm posting a lot of political stuff lately and I know I'm not the only one.

I really like this ad! I kindof hope he does more like this in the near future. Although I don't know if this approach will work with people who aren't already planning to vote for him. I have no perspective on what might work or not. Still, this is a nice, direct, calm, positive approach and I hope it helps.

Renewable, baby! That's the biggie I think. And reduce use through energy efficiency, stimulating production and purchase of efficient vehicles, etc. A bunch of other stuff. The only thing I'm sure I'm not crazy about is the "clean coal" BS. I never said he was perfect. ;)

I wonder how he plans to stimulate purchase of those vehicles? They're so expensive.

Frankly, I think I'd lean towards voting for him if he said something like, "Accessible and safe bike trails everywhere!" LOL! I often wish we were more like Japan in the way they tend to ride bikes more than drive cars.

Me too! Or Holland! Plus I wish we had a train system like Japan and/or Europe.

On his website there's something about $7k toward the purchase of an efficient vehicle, if I remember it right. That might help! But there would have to be stronger motivation for car manufacturers to make more of them too. There is no way Toyota could make enough Priuses for the demand if everyone got $7k to buy one. (I'm so Prius-biased, LOL)

michael was JUST telling me about how much better the train system is in europe... and that if we had something like that here we could go to SF overnight on a train :)
