Someone's going to shoot me for even thinking about this, but...

Is anyone out there using the free, ad-supported version of LJ? I want to preview and see how bad it is.

What are the benefits for doing the ads as opposed to not doing them?

15 userpics as opposed to 3. I have ganked SO many LJ icons and am unable to use them so far.

You actually have six user pics with a free account now. They increased it a few months ago.
