May. 28th, 2006 04:33 amThe Hershey's hot fudge they sell in a jar is NOT the same as the Hershey's hot fudge in a can. They don't sell the canned kind anymore, near as I can tell. Another piece of my childhood gone. Like Wacky Wafers, dammit.
Now that this season of American Idol is over I'll have so much more time to get things done. SRSLY.
I don't see my friends nearly enough. I miss them all terribly.
Some reasons that I love working in hospitals:
Cafeterias, usually with reasonably healthy food and a salad bar, and vending machines for overnight--with coffee!
Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week--a big bonus for people like me who like to stay up all night
24-hour security
Lots of clean bathrooms, and locker rooms with showers (though you can't fake your way into using them without the right badge at some hospitals)
And truthfully, although of course there are some notorious exceptions to this rule, hospitals are generally filled with people who chose their careers for altruistic reasons and are concerned with caring for others.

Date: 2006-05-28 08:23 pm (UTC)I love that stuff, too... total childhood memory. Brown can, yellow cap. In fact, my mom used to use one of the empty and washed-out cans to hide money in the cabinet in case of a break in (she was a little paranoid).

Date: 2006-05-28 07:00 pm (UTC)Oh, and I bought a can of Hershey's Syrup not too long ago (I actually saved the can when I was done because...well...because). I'll keep my eye out for you.

Date: 2006-06-08 10:21 am (UTC)The Fresh Choice I go to sometimes is in Daly City across the freeway from the Serramonte mall. I love the honey butter on the muffins, which of course negates the salad course.
Thanks for watching for the Hershey's for me. I'm such a food-nostalgia whore.

Looks like San Leandro is the closest one to you. I'm not saying it's worth the travel or anything.

I know there are some places on-line that have old/discontinued candies. I'm going to do some searching for you and let you know what I can find.
