Update on the East Bay situation:  Not sure now.  Can't leave until T comes over.  She hasn't called yet.

In other news:  I don't understand this whole deleting-journals thing.  I can see starting a new LJ for a new chapter in life, but why delete the old one?  I read someone's post the other day about deleting a 4-year-old LJ; the poster said she wanted to distance herself from her life of the past four years and start fresh.  Does deleting the LJ make it seem like that stuff never happened?  I am such a nostalgia whore, I can never imagine wanted to erase a record of part of my own life--I guess that makes me narcissistic too.  But I'm just saying.  Life is life, and I like to keep the old stuff around, warts and all.  Maybe to learn from it, maybe just to refer back to it when I can't remember it anymore.

i'm very nostalgic as well, but I think people delete their LJ's to sort of let the past go.

Yeah. I guess what I'm saying is I totally don't get the need to let the past go.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to call you back. It's been a whirlwind all evening until now, and I am off to bed. We've got a big day tomorrow.

Are you free Thursday or Friday? Shall we try then?

C.

Totally fine, thanks!

And no, the rest of the week is shot, but we can try again next week. Tuesday or Wednesday, maybe?

Yeah, either of those days should work fine.

So...height-wise, Arabis is now officially off the chart for a 14 month old at 33 and one half inches tall. Can you believe it?

Oh, and re: journals.

Who was it that said we must learn from the past or be doomed to repeat it? This is why I have 31 years worth of paper journals in a metal army footlocker. We are writing our own history, our past and our future. I am made up of everyone I've ever known and every mistake and victory I've experienced. Our scars are what make us unique and beautiful individuals.
