I've said it before and I'll say it again...

I LOVE MY DIVA CUP!!!

I love it especially when I'm traveling. Nothing to remember to bring, just wear it and it's with you always. Just pull it out once in a while, dump it out, rinse it off, and stick it back in. This thing is so low maintenance, it's the reason I've been able to stay sane about my moon coming back.

And on the same subject, I love that term "moon"--hi Wendy!--even though my phases do not resemble the 28-day waxing/waning moon cycle in the least. Personally I use the term "DFR" which is something I made up in high school, when I was feeling quite a lot of anger and animosity toward the whole affair. It stands for Damn Effin' Rag. That's the abbreviation I still use on my calendar. But while I'm fond of it from a nostalgic standpoint, the fire of my youth and all that, I'm no longer so angry, and I have some vague sense that it's nice to honor the cycles and phases of the body.

What about you, ladies? (Gentlemen are excused from replying on this one.) What term do you favor? Where did it come from? Why do you like it?

When speaking of it (though I rarely do), I just say "my period." Since spending more time on MDC, I've picked up typing "AF." In my organizer (when I was tracking before Robert was conceived) it was "dotty" - just so no one would know what it was if they were looking over my shoulder with me for other info on the calendar.

That "AF" thing is kindof funny... I've always hated the words it stands for, not sure why. I love "dotty" though, very clever!
