Just took Evan back to the ER, for the third time, because his leg started going numb halfway up to his knee, and we called the advice nurse and she said go back in. I feel completely overwhelmed. It's really hard not to know what's going to happen next, and it's awful to see him in pain, and juggling him and Blue is really hard, and I'm terrified of not getting anything done.

On the bright side, I've got so much support it's ridiculous. Thanks to everyone for everything, from good wishes to offers of help. It means a lot to know I'm not alone.

Evan asked me to pray aloud with him on the way to the ER, something he rarely does. I love having the chance to be there with him.

I know, huh?! Ha ha. He's pretty new to all that praying stuff (just decided he was Christian a year or two before we met) so it's not always the first thing that occurs to him when everything's hunky dory, I think. That's how it is for a lot of people. I get more active spiritually when I'm in some kind of (usually emotional) pain too--along with journaling more! :P

*sigh* I really hate to hear that he is in pain! I keep thinking of things that it could be, but im putting money on that slipped disk. Sheesh. Its so frustrating with all the medical advances they cant figure out what is the matter!

Yeah, it is. I'm sure they'll figure it out someday if we keep being the squeaky wheel. But not on Thanksgiving. :-(
