OK, here's a lighter one, one that I first read in that same Advanced English class and committed to memory immediately.

I love to sing it to Rachel. On our tenth anniversary we went to The Horn of the Moon restaurant in Vermont and I sang that to her after dinner. It's funny, I know I also gave her something but I don't remember what. I guess it mattered less than the song.
